Frequently asked questions

Let’s get your questions answered

What is the benefits of being a ‘Sharer’?

As a Sharer for gradvisor, you’ll be helping others who may be finding it difficult to navigate their career paths. By offering insights and advice drawn from your own professional experiences, you’ll act as an indirect mentor - providing useful guidance that can help Seekers discover careers suited to their skills and interests and take meaningful steps toward achieving their goals. You’ll also become part of an online community of professionals who have shared their stories, giving you the chance to reflect on your own journey and appreciate how far you’ve come.

What criteria do I need to meet to become a ‘Sharer’?

We are seeking early-career professionals with up to seven years of career experience. Eligible participants should be in a professional occupation within one of gradvisor’s ten sector categories, which include: Advertising and Media, Business Consulting and Management, Finance, Government and NGO, Health and Care, Law and Legal, Manufacturing and Engineering, Property and Infrastructure, Tech, IT and Digital, and Retail and Consumer Goods with more sectors to be added! If you are uncertain whether your role falls within these categories, please feel free to contact info@gradvisor.org.uk via email for clarification.

What will I need to do to be a ‘Sharer’?

To be a ‘Sharer’ you can choose to sign up a sharer on the gradvisor platform. To then submit your shared insights, you can use the 'share' feature on the web app to submit your insights by selecting and answering a set of questions directly through the platform. A series of 10-15 questions will be displayed, with your responses recorded in an audio format. You can choose to answer as many questions as you’d like and can skip past any you wish to not answer. If you face any issues during this process, you canemail info@gradvisor.org.uk.

What happens after I have shared my insights?

Our team will review and edit the insights you provide before submitting them for pproval. Within the app, your shared insights will appear in the ‘My Profile’ section, under ‘unpublished insights’ and will be marked with a ‘pending’ tag. This indicates that your content is currently undergoing moderation and will only be made visible on the platform once it has been approved by a gradvisor administrator. You will receive a notification if an insight has been either approved or declined. Once approved, your insight will become live and visible in your profile so that other seekers and users can listen to it. You’ll also have the option to delete or unpublish your insight at any time. If, for any reason, your insight is not accepted by the content moderator, you’ll receive a note explaining the reason, and you’ll have the opportunity to edit and resubmit it for review.

How is my content used and where/who will my insights be visible to?

The insights you submit as a Sharer will be displayed exclusively on the gradvisor web app. These will be accessible to Seekers - students or recent graduates who use the platform’s resources to research, inform, and guide their career decisions. Your content will not be shared or published on any other website or application.
